This is exactly what we’ll do in this example – first, we navigate to demo version here and look at its source code in the browser: So my tip for you – if you are trying to convert WordPress themes to Laravel (or to any other system), you should do it from demo version directly, without installing actual WordPress theme. We just want our project to look like the official demo version, right?Īnd, by the way, it’s the biggest problem of WordPress themes – purchase/download takes minutes, but making it look exactly like in demo version is often a huge work of multiple hours, additionally installing a set of plugins. To convert WordPress theme into Blade, we actually don’t need the WordPress version – we need HTML/CSS/JavaScript files and other assets. Just in case you can’t install a theme through WordPress, use FTP access to transfer the files directly into the folder. While themes from the official WordPress directory can be quickly installed through the admin panel, you will have to upload the other ones manually. When you decide to install a new WordPress theme, there are three methods you can use.

It also requires FTP credentials which many beginners don’t know where to find and how to use. This one isn’t entirely beginner-friendly as you will have to know how to work with an FTP client. Just in case you don’t have access to the WordPress dashboard at the moment or you couldn’t install the new theme through WordPress admin for any other reason, there is a third method that can help you. From the same page, you can preview the theme you just uploaded, activate it immediately or return to Themes Page. On a new page that will open, you should see a confirmation message.
It is important that you have the theme in. But if you download a theme directly from the same directory in ZIP format, find one on any other site or purchase a premium item, you will need to upload it manually. The first method works only with free WordPress themes from the official repository.
